The floral revolution is upon us. Of course the onset of spring always brings with it a love of all things abloom, but this year feels especially flowery. Clearly our favorite starlets are just as besotted – and with the floral mini-skirt in particular. It feels fresh and young and pairs equally well with knee-high boots as it does with sky-high heels.

Winter Fashion 2010....words from Cooper St Monday, 10th May, 2010
Escape the cold this April in a palette of neutral hues ranging from musk, dawn and pearl to deeper jewel tones of everglade and petunia.
The focus is on heavy metal detailing, oversized fur coats, full swing dresses, cable knits and metallics.
Exaggerated shoulders are forecast to stay for the season, with the trend updated in slinky jersey dresses, blazers and ombre velvets. Seen on most international runways this is one trend not to be missed.
Hardware and all things metal are embraced, on track with the neo-grunge aesthetic. Chrome and pewter studs show up in fitted dresses and leggings while delicate chains and rows of crystal jewels add interst to basic knit tanks, blazers and mini’s.
Metallics work well when mixed back with matte or sheer fabrics for a more muted shine. Tones range from slick optic white to shimmering deep pewter.
Structured looks, techno fabrics and tough details have never looked so chic – inspired by looks from fashions major players and rising newcomers.
Fun, Feminine, and full of movement, flouncy skirts are making their way into winter with the help of opaque hosiery and some clever layering. Match back with a fitted tank in neutral hues add a pair of suede boots, a fur vest and some diamond earrings.
Alternatively if your feeling more adventurous – team a pair of embellished leggings with a printed tunic, add a pair of gloves and stack on the bangles.
